Dr Bobbie Jacobson is Director of the London Health Observatory (LHO) now part of the Commissioning Support for London (CSL) and Vice Chair of the Association of Public Health Observatories (APHO) of the UK and Ireland.
She has spearheaded APHO’s national lead role on tobacco and tackling social & ethnic inequalities in health. She is a member of the Government’s Scientific Reference Committee on Health Inequalities and NICE’s Advisory Committee on NHS Evidence.
She has spent over 3 decades contributing to public health and health policy nationally, internationally and locally, publishing widely on tobacco policy and health inequalities. She was awarded an OBE in 2006.
